The winning design by Mariam Hachem was awarded prize money of 7,000 euros, the second-placed duo Marcele Rimoli and Marcella Partzsch received 2,000 euros and third-placed Camila Salazar 1,000 euros. The jury was advised by the supervising professors Christoph Zielke and Nicolas Markwald as well as Michael Menge and Mats Kubiak, two external design experts from renowned German agencies.

Mariam Hachem
First place winner
The logo consists of a single curved line that grows upwards like a climbing plant, with the words "Landesgartenschau Kleve 2029" next to it. Mariam was inspired by the Kleve Spoykanal. In addition to the actual logo, the winning design comprises an entire design system including a selection of 30 symbols that follow the logo in its unique style. Mariam's design makes it possible to pick up on different themes again and again and to bring all media – from brochures to T-shirts – to life. In this way, the Landesgartenschau remains recognizable and at the same time presents itself in a varied and flexible way.
This project won the first place in the competition held by Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences and the city of Kleve. She was awarded 7,000 euros by the city of Kleve. It will visually present the State Garden Show in 2029.
Marcele Rimoli and Marcella Partzsch
Second place winner
The two designers Marcele Rimoli and Marcella Partzsch present a dynamic design of organic shapes inspired by nature. The design captivates with its baroque yet modern feel. The word mark naturally reflects the K for Kleve as well as something flowing and unifying, a reference to nature, the Spoy Canal and the Landesgartenschau.
They were awarded 2,000 euros by the city of Kleve.
Camila Salazar
Third place winner
Camila's design is characterized by a bold, playful and colourful design language. The targeted reduction to simple, graphically concise shapes creates a clear visual message with a high recognition value.
She was awarded 1,000 euros by the city of Kleve.
Yuna Ichihashi
Shortlist
Yuna's minimalist design approach is based on the combination of a semicircle and a line. Varying arrangements of these two basic elements create a variety of floral shapes that symbolize the rich flora of the 2029 State Garden Show. The clarity and reduction of her design lend the design a striking aesthetic with a high recognition value.
Daryna Voronina
Shortlist
Daryna's designs are based on a structured grid on which colorful elements are arranged. The result is a multi-layered design that visually unites water, sky, flora, fauna and the city of Kleve. The result is a lively and opulent design that radiates dynamism and diversity.
Samira Jannat
Shortlist
Gentle color gradients and a harmonious color palette characterize Samira's floral illustrations and lend them a poetic lightness. This reflects the magic of the Landesgartenschau. Her logo, which dissolves into an abstract form, elegantly combines flora and fauna.
